Sara Miron, RM
My name is Sara Miron (She/Her) and I am happy to be a midwife at CCM. I did my senior placement here, and have worked here since I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery from McMaster in 2017. Prior to midwifery I completed a Bachelor of Music with a minor in Biology from Queen's, as well as a Bachelor of Education from York. During my undergrad, one of my best friends handed me a book titled "The Birth House" and told me she thought I should be a midwife. This was the first time I had heard of midwifery, and I instantly fell in love. After teaching for a couple of years and deciding teaching wasn't the right path for me, my heart kept returning to midwifery. I am so beyond happy I made the change. I love working one on one with pregnant people and their families to provide health education, and to bear witness to the creation of new life. I am so grateful that CCM helped me to bring my own daughter into the world in 2019 at home! In my spare time I am often found outdoors hiking with my family, bird watching, singing, knitting/crocheting or reading. Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey. |
