Oshawa, and we enjoy excellent collegial relationships with physicians and
staff there.

● Obstetrician on call is usually on site.
● Anaesthesiologist on call is usually on site, but may not be immediately available.
● Respiratory Therapist on site.
● Paediatrician on call.
● Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on site.
● Occasionally redirects patients to a different hospital, if there is a shortage of beds or staff to provide safe care.
If You are Planning a Home Birth:
Please be aware that, in the case of simultaneous labours, there is a chance that you may be
asked to go to the hospital.
